Just on the edge of Perryopolis, Pa is an old train tunnel and bridge known as the Layton Tunnel. Legend has it that a man was struck and killed walking along the tracks in the tunnel. Another man in the 60s had a large ice column fall onto his car while driving through it from Layton to Perryopolis. At night people have heard loud noises and screams come from the tunnel. Sometimes they even hear whispers. Very spooky place.
