A few months later I was sound asleep, but something must have gotten my attention. I felt like something walked past my bed. I tried to pass it off as the cat when out of nowhere my dog went flying and yelping out of the room. Before I could react I had what felt like a person sitting on my back holding my shoulders down. I screamed, and it went away. Sick or not I found a new apartment right away. That was twenty years ago. My parents are still there.

They admit they knew something was going on, but it seems to avoid them, and they felt it was safe.
When they go away, I check in on the house.

One time I went I passed the dryer where about six towels were folded and sitting atop. As I passed, the pile was thrown across the room. It was as if someone swept them with a great deal of force. I left them there figured the plants wouldn't die. I asked a neighbor to get the mail and refuse to ever go back there alone. Even when they are home, if I go there and need to go into a certain part of the house I will make my father come with me. I'm almost
