I did not know it until I went on a ghost tour but downtown Scranton Pennsylvania is one of the most haunted cities in America. It seems in days gone by Scranton had so many tragic deaths there because of the coal mine disasters under the city, the black hand bombings, murders fires suicides and epidemics that after dark ghosts seem to roam the city. The city is riddled with underground caves and hollowed out mines that according to the guide on the ghost walk the New York times called Scranton Pa the city built on match sticks. We got orbs in our pictures in several locations and in several places both the dowsing rods they Lent us went crazy and our ghost meter did too.

I actually saw ghostly figures moving in an old empty building next to a famous haunted pub there. Others on the tour saw them too. I also heard a voice or moaning inside a statue of Jason Miller who stared in ''the exorcist'' that stands near the middle of the city.

On the coldest night the marble base of the statue has a strange heat coming from it that no one can explain. Weird! I am not sure how we heard about it but I think they do the walks all year round. We also went to a different haunted really spooky paranormal and psychic séance event in Scranton at the Houdini museum. It seems the building is haunted because of some murders there. The Pennsylvania department of tourism called the building one of the ten most haunted places in the state. They really had the people screaming and several asked to leave out of fright in the séance part toward the end. When I am in the Scranton area in the coming year I am going to go again. Rp.
