I moved to Turtle Creek in 1984 and lived in a 3 story frame house on Wilbur Ave. I believe it was one of the older houses built in Turtle Creek. My uncle owned the house and I rented it from him. While fixing things up and working in the basement before moving in, I had the feeling that I wasn't alone. I shrugged it off as new house jitters. Over the years I realized I was sharing the house with someone I couldn't see! I would hear footsteps going from

the kitchen back door, to stairs going to second floor. I lived alone. My bedroom was always freezing cold, no matter what time of the year it was.

hot, muggy summer night I tried to sleep outside on the upper porch that had no access except from inside the hallway of the house. I was lying in a chaise lounge about midnight when I heard voices talking, coming from the hallway behind me inside the house. Again, I lived alone, and there was no one on the street below me.
