I am presently housed at building 27 on the Wernersville state hospital ground in what is called a community corrections center... Ccc. I came from prison and this is where the Pa department of corrections sent me until I am able to find living arrangements of my own.
To my surprise the surrounding area is goregous and picturesque with Rolling Hills large trees and wide grassy fields. I was completely unaware of the history of the building in which I am presently living until one day when I mentioned to a local person where I am living.

They were shocked!! At first I thought it was because that I was just recently released from prison and in a small town like Wernersville. But that was not the case at all. They were in shock that I was standing in front of them as a resident of one of the more grotesque treatment facilities in the country.

While working in the buildings the one afternoon I was ''volunteered'' to do some work over in building 30 to make it livable for the new batch of inmates that were coming recide and continue the aftercare treatment before they were released.
I was sweeping out the tunnels in between building 30 and buildings 18 / 19 when the dust that I was kicking up blocked out the poor wired lite hallways. At that time I started to walk... Quickly toward the exit door.
It was lock and had to turn and find another way out of this smoky dungeon. As I reached the base of the cement stairs it felt like I was push into a wall of ice!! I was so cold. I was just down in this very area not even 1 minute before sweating while I was working and now it was a freezer.
