There is a ghost at the Annapolis Cigar company on Main Street named Harold. He was an older African-American man who worked for Annapolis public works. He had a heart attack while emptying a trash can in 2001. Since that time he has occasionally been seen inside the cigar store where he used to frequent. He will sometimes even interact with customers. Very strange!!!.

Me and my mother were walking in downtown Annapolis when she next to me yelped and looked at me startled. I was around 10 at the time. I asked ''what is it?'' She waited till we got off the crosswalk we were walking across to tell me. Something had full force and slammed into her shoulder enough to hurt. It happened very quickly, but it was there. The crosswalk was completely empty, and there were no cars in sight. It was around noon, and the sun was shining brightly, but it was still scary.

The Paca House has ghosts. I've seen one. On a tour of the house we were stopped by the tour guide right outside the kitchens. As she talked I looked over into the kitchen, and there was a woman in Colonial garb going about her chores cooking at the fireplace. The only thing is she was transparent! Another ghost that everyone sees who comes from Annapolis is ''George.'' He is often seen at his house on Newman Street between Duke of Gloucester and Compromise Streets. (Oh no! The house has been taken down! I wonder if George still hangs around? )
Then on Upper West Street there was a restaurant that I used to go to. My boyfriend was an assistant cook there, and I went along one day while they had a meeting. I sat at a table in the restaurant while they met in the kitchen. While there I noticed a little ''smoke'' forming in the air. As I watched it swirled and grew and began to take a shape, but there was no smoke smell. Finally I realized that I was seeing something unnatural, and I closed my eyes and dropped my head down to the table. I held my breath and waited for who knows how long. When I heard the employees coming into the room I looked back up and the ''apparition'' was gone. And that's just a starter about haunted Annapolis!.
