Basil Avenue is haunted. The first week I moved in I started having dreams of a little boy coming to me for help with a bucket and mason jars (he looked like he was from the 1920's) he would lead me to the stream running along side the house and ask for help filling the jars. He then would say he is drowning. Many nights I stayed awake hearing voices in my head: a crowd and a woman singing. I later found that in the early 1900's the house used to

be a bar which accounted for the sounds I was hearing. I never told my family because I figured they would think I was crazy. Seeing it was on the

market again (3rd time in 7 years) I brought it up to my mom and her friend who both admitted seeing children with baskets full of what looked like jam.
Weird. No wonder no one wants to live there. Submitted by anonymous
Comment by anonymous: Is this a corner lot? Could you please email me the address for this property. I have lived in Chesapeake City all my life and I am interested in the history of the town. On a side note I find others ghost sightings intriguing. Trc @deltransinc.com.
Comment by Vr4sweet: I would love to know where on Basil, I live on Basil.
