I have lived in the Cumberland area my whole life. My first experience with the paranormal was in the house I grew up in on Avirett Avenue. The house was built in 1920. When I was a young child ages 2-6 I was plagued with demonic scary dreams I have never been able to put into words. I always had feelings I was being watched, but the only ghost I ever saw was in that house when I was at age 8.
I got ready for my day at 4th grade, and I came downstairs.

A man in early 1900s clothing was standing there. I couldn't even look at him. I just ran to the kitchen and begged the specter not to hurt me. The

man looked exactly like a photo of my great grandfather, but why he would be at our house I don't know.
Fast forward to after I left home. The first place I stayed was a house that had been put into apartments on Braddock Road closer to the Lavale side. Several times my boyfriend and I witnessed shadow footprints passing outside our bedroom door like someone was in the hallway.
