after the fort was closed there was a bad fire at one of the beautiful homes there, and I was on an engine responding. As I was looking around, Sweetie begged me to save her house. It broke my heart to tell a ghost child her house couldn't be saved. I have a lot of experience from the time it was still open as a veterans hospital.

My best friend Katelyn and I used to work the dungeons during the Halloween haunt. One night we were in the second dungeon all alone. We both heard a little girl laughing nearby and then a little girl screaming in the distance (sounded as if it came from the woods outside.) We both ran out of the dungeon so freaked out, and once we told others what happened Leanne (a psychic that works there) said ''Sweetie! It's Sweetie!'' And she started running into the woods toward the mausoleum.

Kate and I were weirded out, so we decided to leave. As we were walking the trail toward the parking lot, I started having trouble breathing and getting dizzy. It felt as if someone or something was inside me! So creepy! But I love ghost hunting and the spirit world, so I definitely kept going back and still do!.

I was at Fort Howard with my family (it's something we did when we were bored, my dad and the rest of our family seemed to like it,) and we decided it was going to be a long walk around the whole fort through all the pathways and such, so we thought it would be a good idea to use the bathroom. Me and my sister went into the girls bathroom as my brother and my dad went to the boys bathroom. I went in and noticed a weird smell (most likely non paranormal,) and then the bathroom door for the first stall slammed shut. I got ultimately scared, so I ran out leaving my sister, and she ran out shortly after me. We discussed what we saw and marveled at how it was the middle of the summer with no breeze, only a stale musty heat, and the door flung shut. We had known of some hauntings prior to the incident, but what we witnessed was intense.
