One summer day in 2011 I was walking around the woods in the Potomac heights to go to the river and explore and I saw a group of people dressed as Native Americans yelling and I thought it was some type of heritage club or worship and I didn't want to interrupt. As I came up to it I walked past, and as I did I wanted to know the history of Native Americans so I turned around to ask them and they all were gone. I looked around and there was no trace at all so I kept waking towards the river and it hit me I just saw a ghost. The Potomac heights is haunted!.

I see that some people have been talking about the Potomac Heights, and yes that neighborhood is creepy. It is definitely haunted. Down on the Potomac River it is mostly forest and wilderness. There's a path in the neighborhood, and it goes to the river. Through the swamp that leads to Chapman State Park there is a trail which is not public. On the river is a whole bunch of old abandoned house. People have told me these houses are haunted. I never seen anything there, but it definitely is a scary place. I heard this whole area use to be a slave plantation. In the main part of the neighborhood it is the scariest place.
At night the old house and some streets are dark while other streets have old street lights: green and orange colored on foggy nights. The place is so creepy. I was walking down a back road on a cold February night around 7pm as I walked past a area of forest on both sides of the street, I heard what sounded like native American chants. It sounded really close, but there was no one around. I have also seen ghostly figures on some night go across the road. It's such a creepy place that you can't even tell if who you walk past on the street is human or not.
