Late last night on Rt. 27 just past the park and ride area around 12:30 a.m. I saw a silhouette of a person walking across the road in the headlights ahead of me. I kept my eyes on it to make sure I didn't hit it as I got closer. As I watched, it got to the other side of the road, and it suddenly disappeared. I slowed down. As I got to the area, it disappeared. I took a better look, but nothing was there. It was a very clear and cold night, and visibility was

Comment by William: No, it was my first time seeing this. I've never seen a ghost (or whatever you'd like to call it) in my life. I'm 64 years old . I tried to see if anything had happened in the area recently in the news archives but nothing.

There is a caboose on Main Street in Mount Airy. I was driving through Main Street in November 2017 when I pulled into the lot to look at the caboose. At the time it was unfinished and didn't have any of the things it does now. As I was driving towards the street, I noticed a dark face of what appeared to be a man staring at me menacingly. I did a double take, and when I looked back it was gone. I saw it in the back left window of the side away from Main Street. I got up to look inside the caboose, and the dim light showed the whole inside yet there was nobody inside. I have no other explanation for it as it seemed to appear and then vanish within only a second.
