I live in Rockville and have my whole life. The house was built in the early 1960s, but my family bought my house in the late early 1990s. Every kid has a fear of the dark, but my basement had more. There was always a chill in the air down there, and you'd always feel like you were being watched. I have felt presences before but none as dark as the one in there. I can clearly remember one time in 2007 or 2008 (I was 5 or 6) that I went into the basement

to get my special blanket out of the dryer, and I saw a dark figure standing in the corner. I don't remember what it looked like. All I can remember is

the dark sunken black eyes.
A few months later we had the house smudged with sage. After that I could no longer feel that God awful presence down there. Around my house is a bridge that connects neighborhoods, and in early 2016 right around a month into the clown fiasco there was a clown at that bridge. It stared at me for a good 3 minutes with a demonic glare before turning around and quickly fading away into nothingness. I haven't seen or felt
