I have seen the light on the tracks at Early Station. Only legend around here I have seen myself. Some say it's a ghost train and that's the light coming at you. That is what it felt like to me also. I also had the feeling to run but I was frozen.
Me and my dad, sister, and uncle all had the same visual that night. Dad and uncle had seen it before. Not me and my sis, it was our first and last! But I will never forget it. It makes you want to go again, but that's why I stay away! As far as Early Station, yes the supernatural is taking place there.
    It's not a ''story'' it's truth!!.

There once was a family that owned a round three legged table that contained a spirit. They lived in or around Ahoskie. A newspaper article was written on it back around 1970. I sure would love to know if anyone knows of the whereabouts today.

Comment by Allen: I learned about this incredible table back in the mid 60s while my family were exchanging ghost stories with our next door neighbors one hot summer evening. The story was too much to believe but the lady of the house insisted this was real and belonged to a person in her family.
Soon after this night she made a special trip to Ahoskie NC and she brought it up to our home in southern Virginia. Some years later a local newspaper reporter wrote a big article about it because her investigation simply blew her away.
The reporter got so wrapped up in it and came up with some better methods to communicate with this very real spirit. Over the years we lost track of it after our neighbor moved and we all aged. I wish that I had that huge article but it cannot be found at my dad's house.

We may not have had our own copy of it I am not sure due to the fog of time on my memory. I have no idea where the family actually lived in Ahoskie or their last name. Also forgotten was the newspaper or the female reporter's name.
This no doubt is a very long shot but just have to try it and hoping someone will know more about it.
