I have seen this light anomaly around 13 years ago with 2 of my friends. The oak tree was there at that time with a rope tied hanging from one of the branches. We parked beside the tree and exited the car to use the bathroom.
One of my friends urinated on the tree which I said that was a bad idea. We then got back in the car about 5 mins later a green light came from out of the sky to end of the gravel/dirt road and then flew directly in front of the car moving around the car slowly as if it was observing us.

Naturally we freaked out and speed out of there. It followed us all the way to the end of the gravel/dirt road.

Comment by Kevin: We have seen the same thing probably 15 years ago. Me, my cousins, and a couple of friends went down there when the tree was still standing. We cut the car off, and instantly the windows fogged up, and the green light rushed the car and circled us but stayed about 15 yards away the whole time. There were hand prints on every window. We booked it out of there.

I am a relative of some people that have lived in Aurora for many years, and they have told stories of a man for whatever reason was hanged and over the years became known as the West Road Light. I myself never saw anything but even in the daytime I could sense things that gave me a real eerie feeling. Especially in the area from where you turn off of hwy 306 and continue down the gravel road to where you pass Guilford Station Rd and around the old house just past this road on the left; where its my understanding that the man was hanged and up to several years ago the tree was still standing. But due to acts of god and mother nature otherwise not much of the tree is left.
But over the years I discovered that that wasn't the most interesting part. I attended a party of people that I didn't know; it's my understanding that they were a doctor and his wife and they for whatever reason threw a party known as the Aurora Bash and I was invited by a relative to go. A lot of people from the surrounding area were there and sometime after that I was out loafing as I call it and decided to ride by the house and much to my surprise the place had fell into disrepair.
