The Balsam Mountain Inn is absolutely a walk back in time. No TV. No computers. The setting is as it was in the early 1900s. I walked into the bathroom in the downstairs hallway, and every hair stood on end. There was someone there for sure. I finished up and left. The next visit to the bathroom a guest was using the stall next to me, and I felt nothing. The third visit I was alone and had the same undeniable feeling I was not alone. I had the same feeling

one night in the library. I was never really scared. More intrigued by the experience. Every time I went to take a picture of the hotel my phone died.

The night of June 6th, 2014 was when we arrived at the Inn and slept the night. My friend who came along with me on the trip both heard footsteps outside of our room 203 at 3:16 in the morning. Sometimes around 3:30 I heard a doorknob jiggle only for a short 6 seconds. Also I heard a man and a woman have a short fight that only lasted 5 second. I don't remember what they said. I was in too much shock and fear to remember their fight. Then it stopped like no one was ever there outside of my room in the hallway.
At the middle of the night my mother in the bed next to me was yelling out like someone was attacking her. I looked over her way, and she kept yelling out, so I waited. Then she didn't stop yelling out. I couldn't make out what was over her, but whatever it was I told it to go away. After I told it to go she stopped screaming out. I didn't get any sleep that night. I stayed up till the sun rise the next morning. In the morning my mother told me someone was calling her name out when it wasn't either me or my friend or dad. My mother says she felt like something was trying to get inside her at the time she was yelling out.
