The Devil's Tramping Ground, the Chatham natives say. And the story is that the devil goes there to walk in circles as he thinks up new means of causing trouble for humanity. There, sometimes during the dark of night, the majesty of the underworld of evil silently tramps around that bare circle-- thinking, plotting, and planning against good, and in behalf of wrong. ''so far as is known, no person has ever spent the night there to disprove this is what happens. '' I visit there a few times a year. Every time I go there is a different abandoned tent for where I believe someone tried to spend the night but ran off. .

Comment by John: I'm from Greensboro and I've been to that spot a number of times. My fiancé didn't want to stay the night that nice evening. I have been there numerous times of the day and night and there is a lot I've seen there I can't explain but there is locals that roam around when they know someone is there at night and do havoc... Anyways I've been wanting a few people as a team to go stay the night on an undisclosed day and time and stay overnight. I'm an experienced paranormal investigator not bt choice. I see the dead and it's just like the 6th sense... These ghosts appear out of nowhere and sometimes it's residual and sometimes it's real and happens out of nowhere... Idk how this happened to me but it is what it is... I've dealt with it... I just want to go back and stay the night to disprove paranormal activity...
I just have a funny feeling that it's something different... John9571 @msn .com....
Comment by Bill: I went in 1996 and spent the night there and there's nothing to it then me and my brother went in 1999 and 2000 and spent the night there and there was nothing to it. Then I went back in 2008 and there was nothing to it then or now.
