My wife and I rented a house in Haw Run. We had multiple things that were strange. Got back from deployment, my wife saw pioneer women walking through the bedroom. I put it out as a bad dream. After about a week when I got back dam if pioneer women walked through the bedroom, but as weird as that is. I got up at 0400; I was Platoon Sgt. and had to get my marines up. I was getting ready putting on my utilities, and a shadow was on our hallway wall. My son was 3. He couldn't get out of his crib. I cleared the house. Nobody was there. Told the neighbors, and they said the house was on an old trail people used to go west. And get this, in 1970 a small boy about 3 got strangled in his crib, and we weren't the first to see these things there. I never believed in stuff like that till it happened. It's all true. I swear on my honor as a marine 83--91. SEMPER FI.

I've stood the Command DNCO duty at building 1 (by the traffic circle) many times, and part of that duty is (or at least used to be) to get up at certain times of the night to check on a few safes throughout the building. There is this one safe down in the basement. EVERY single time I went down there at night I got the creepiest feeling right before a wave of ''dizziness'' would wash over me. It felt like someone was the there with me. Then the atmosphere would get super heavy and dense feeling.

Then the best way I can describe it is if you had to imagine what it would feel like to have something walk through you. It only lasted for an instant. Then the sensation would go away, but the entire time I was down there it felt like someone was still behind me watching me. Every time I had duty there I would be on my best behavior just because it felt like if you did anything ''un-marine-like'' that something was going to be angry and come after you.

While at MCT on a patrol at night we were instructed to chase down anyone who came within our area. We were sitting in the woods off to the side of the armory where the Marine killed himself. Out of the corner of my eyes I saw two figures moving parallel to us. They were silhouetted by lights from the armory. They had no gear or weapons, so they were instructors. My squad and I started to pursue the figures; only to find them gone and reappear 200 yards away. As I gave chase I was knocked over and slid about 8 feet on my plate carrier. My rifle was stripped away and my helmet flew off. Nobody could explain what it was.
