The wooded area behind Holmes Street is haunted by the ghost of a man that was killed in an argument in those woods back in the 1930s when the area was less developed and more rural than it is today. If you look into the woods at night you can see his lantern moving around like if someone is carrying a light to see.
The best way to see him is if you know someone on that street and you can sit in the backyard and wait. But you can see it from the

street as well. He's not dangerous so there's nothing to worry about.

Comment by Gina: I see some creepy sightings from a soldier that died from killing himself. He appears to be a married guy with a little girl; he walks around at night in Fayetteville, NC. If you see him say hello, he's not dangerous.
