This happened in the Eno River Park around 2011 and 2012. It was around the Pump Station Trail. A friend and I decided to take a late night walk. I lived near a trail that takes you onto the Pump Station Trail. It was around 2 a.m. and snowing, so it was very still but peaceful. After about twenty minutes walking we stopped to figure out in which direction we were going. Every time we stopped we would hear branches cracking or rustling behind us.

back now I am almost certain that someone or something had been following us. Once we made it to the river, we decided to start back in the direction

of home. As I was climbing a rock, I felt something grab my foot, but at the moment I thought it was just my foot getting stuck. All the way through the forest the feeling of being followed continued with branches cracking nearby. Once we were out of the forest and back in the neighborhood, we were walking under the power line, and both noticed a blue flash. It was strange but nothing startling.
