family member and thought it was a joke. The mystery was never solved. All of the strange occurrences have subsided. Now several years later, the house has a different energy. It feels welcoming, warm, and friendly. I believe the former owner is happy with what we have done with the house and has moved on to an eternity of beach living in heaven and left us to enjoy our little piece of heaven here on earth.

About 5 years ago we stayed at a house on Rip Tide Ct. When we got there there was a deck all around the house which I liked. We noticed there were rips in every screen on the outside of the house. There were not knife cuts but rips as if done by a hand. We went to sleep that night in different rooms because the beds were to small for both of us to sleep together. I went to sleep and for some reason woke up.

As I was lying there it felt like someone was grabbing my ankles. I got up and looked around and didn't see anyone. Then I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror to make sure I was awake. When I did it felt like I was standing in cold water. It was so much so that I got down on my knees to see if water was leaking. There was no water there. That was the first night. I told my wife the next day, and she didn't notice anything.
The next night we were both sitting in the chairs inside. Suddenly we heard three loud knocks which sounded like they were coming from outside but not on our door on the walls. I went outside and walked around, and I saw nobody. I went inside and sat down again. It wasn't long before there were three knocks again. Again I went outside. Nothing. I turned every outside light the house had on. It was quiet for a while then three more knocks. I ran outside and ran around the deck. Nothing. We stayed up late, and the knocks seemed to stop.
The next night it was the same. There were three knocks, and then they waited awhile, and they were back. We also noticed a lot of the appliances didn't work. I tried to call, and it seemed like the phone didn't work. One of the days I found a work order for the screens. It was balled up and thrown in the sand under the house. We finally just couldn't stand it anymore and left. Now we won't even stay anywhere close to that house. If we go to Emerald Isle, the first thing my wife asks is how far away are we from Riptide Ct. .
