When we lived in Stantonsburg, NC I too was scratched by something in my daughter's room. It only happened to me. I was just standing in there, and on the bottom of my leg and my back I started to feel a burning sensation. I went into my room with my husband and raised my pants, and that leg had three scratches side by side, and on my back three long scratches. My husband started praying to cast out whatever was there in the name of Jesus, and it never

happened again.

The bridge across Tar River is haunted. A guy was thrown off the bridge by his friends as a prank back in the day. It's not a high bridge and they didn't mean to hurt him. They just wanted to throw him in the water as a joke.
They were all drunk including the guy getting thrown off the bridge. Well things went bad and he hit his head and died. He can sometimes be seen walking on the bridge. Like I said he was drunk when he died and his ghost appears intoxicated as well.
We all call him the drunk ghost.
