my mom and Granny and told my Granny that there was an old lady in her bed. She just looked at me laughed and said ''you done jumped up on that pole again, ain't ya?'' She would say that when I was telling a fib, so they didn't go look.
The last house was the worst. My bed was in a cubby hole next to the closet. My mom and dad's bed was across the room, and my sister's bed was around the corner out of sight from mine, but we were all in the same

room. I would wake up in the middle of the night and see the door knob on the closet start to turn really slowly. I'd open it, and the scariest old woman

you ever saw would come out and just stare at me. She had no emotion at all in her face. She would just stare at me. I couldn't scream or do anything but hide under the covers. That happened a lot. That closet was always freezing cold no matter what time of year it was. A few other things happened there, but I will tell those some other time.
