My friend and I were at the old Methodist cemetery behind McDonald's, and he was physically pushed down and had the wind knocked out of him. We both ran, and as we were leaving, I saw a shadow figure in front of a gravestone. Submitted by Caleb

I was around ten years old. We just moved to Shooting Creek, and it was my first snow up here. I headed outside, and I noticed the sound of other kids which I thought was weird seeing that there were no other kids that lived near where we lived. I played for a little when I looked over and saw a little boy and little girl. I noticed they were Native Americans. I continued playing and looked over again, and they were gone. I've never seen them since.

I was born and raised in Hayesville. I live off Cold Branch Road. My cousin Rodney was camping down on Shooting Creek, and we both saw a man in overalls, and then he disappeared. Submitted by David

Shooting creek. My folks bought land on Bruce Ridge on the Brooks Cove side. The creek has steeper banks than when they were first there because the creek flooded out in the late 60s. At the time of this story the banks were shallow and we crossed by a footlog.
