My grandfathers family and later him grew up in one of those house across the Main Street and worked in the store. They weren't slave houses but are spooky at night nonetheless. And now people use it for drug deals, sleeping, etc.. Submitted by anonymous

I went to the old abandoned mill houses with a group of friends. We heard it was haunted but we didn't expect what happened that night. First if all there is history about the old mill houses. They used to be slave houses and there are tunnels under each of them that lead to different places.

We parked our cars off the road behind some trees. And we all went into the first mill house. It's about 10 pm at this time. We looked around for a few minutes and then we began to find weird things.

I found an old 1800s or later style child's shoe and it was sticky with red goo and much of the red was dried up and brown. It looked so much like blood. I sat the shoe down and walked around he house more.
We were all split up looking around. We were using our phones for light. I went in a room and there was a small closet door. I opened it and found a empty pill bottle and there was a pile of white powder in the floor beside it. I shut the door and joined the others. We went to the back porch and just then we see car lights shine in inside from the front of he house and there was a black SUV sitting there like it was watching us.
