E. M Yoder is haunted by a man that usually is in the bathroom near the cafeteria. He scratches on stalls and laughs creepily. Many people that go to that school or used to have heard these things too.

My family moved to a house on W. Holt St. In Mebane in 1984. There were a lot of strange things that happened in that house. There was a spirit there. We called her Elizabeth. She never hurt us. She looked out for us kids.

We would hear doors open and shut when no one was there. We'd wake up and our covers would be on the other side of the room. You could feel her there. She would be more active when my father wasn't being very nice.

We moved out in 2006. I guess she stayed there because nothing odd has happened since. I hope she likes the family that lives there now.

Comment by D K: I have been in that house on Holt Street back before the 1980s and the spirit that stays there called the female owner of the house by name from another part of the house. I was visiting her at the time and heard it clearly.
The family who lived there then would have the bedcovers pulled off of them sometimes.
