When I was 12-13 years old our family stayed at n 11th st, the rooms in the house where arranged so you could start in the living room go to a bedroom then to the dining room / kitchen and then through two more bedrooms and then back to the living room.
Like a big circle. On certain nights you could hear something walking through the house like a man with a peg leg moving from room to room with the sounds of his steps getting louder as it got closer

to the room you were in.
And the footsteps got fainter at the back part of the house and then louder as it approached the front of the house. As the

footsteps would pass through the room you where in it would get cold.

Comment by Ivan: The sounds of the footsteps went counter clockwise through the house. I slept next to the door going back to the living room. The footsteps came right beside my bed. Whatever it was walking in the house at night was heard but not seen.
