I've lived in Mount Airy since I was born, I'm 25 now and the most haunted place I've seen is the old Doss Graveyard off of Park Drive and the train bridge over at Bassett Furniture at the graveyard. I've never been out there when I haven't seen something and the train bridge is the scariest place I've ever been. We were down there one night and something came out of the corn field and we ask around to see if anyone else seen it and the old people said it was the monster of 49.

Comment by RD: I've seen both places. Doss has had a lot of activity for me. And as for the train tracks I thought I was the only one who had seen anything down there!.
Comment by Erica: When I was in high school I used to hear stories of people sacrificing black cats in Doss Cemetery and all sorts of horrible things! I believe they finally closed the entrance road to it, thank goodness!.
