I also have a story of demon appearing across the road from the cemetery. One night a few friends and I went and parked our car across the road. This man with abnormally long thin limbs, huge black eyes and the beak of a bird emerged from the woods. We were too scared to even breathe. He grunted, sniffed around, and went back into the thick. He had long skinny fingers and hooves for feet.
Best way I can describe it is The Rake but with a bird beak.
The dead can't hurt you, but this thing wasn't a ghost. There is no other way to describe it except demon. I refuse to return. Does anyone know of the
''monster of 49?'' And what is the story of the train tracks off Park drive? Never had any experiences there. .

Comment by Amber: My step children were playing in the woods near my house a few years back, and they said they saw the same thing you described with the big black eyes, a beak, and hooves for feet. May I ask what location you saw the same thing ?.
Comment by Storm: Hey bud! I actually just visited Doss Cemetery for the first time yesterday. My friend told me her stories of shadow people and how she refused to go in, but I couldn't get it off my mind, so I went by myself today (May 14th). I got there, and sadness hit me in the chest. I sat on the ground and cried. I honestly didn't mean to have ''word vomit,'' but I started to apologize to the spirits for their mistreatment (of their graves just people in general). I then thanked them for allowing me to be there and to take their pictures. I can honestly say when I left I felt more peace than anxious or scared. Go in with light love and respect, and they are more than likely to do the same.
