The older buildings of Oxford orphanage all carry stories with them. Multiple staff report poltergeist experiences in the Dunn building. Footsteps are heard along with rattling doors and a strong feeling of being unwelcome in an otherwise empty York Rite Memorial Chapel.
Children who grew up there tell stories involving the older cottages and especially the lower floor of the administration building. The Treasurer's residence is particularly active.

The cottages are closed to the public in order to protect the children; ghost hunting would not be advised. Submitted by anonymous

When I was a young boy I lived in an old log cabin built by my great great uncle. It was behind my grandparents house and could not be seen from the road. My great great uncle had lived in the house for many years before he and his wife left. My mother always told me he was very found of young boys. Although I do not remember the events many of my family members including my mother and father told me of the ''man in the corner''. The first event was one late night. I walk into my parents bedroom. They asked me why I wasn't in my bed and I told them the man in the corner was playing with my toys and was keeping me up. My father thinking it was a robber ran into the room but there was no man or any sings that someone had broken onto the room.
