My wife's parents used to live on Midway Drive in Statesville, North Carolina. I spent a week there during the summer of 1989 putting a new roof on my in-laws' home. Saturday through Wednesday was uneventful. I had spent my time removing the old roof and preparing the surface before laying down tar paper and new shingles. the bed in my room which was the guestroom, I heard a voice singing a very soft and quiet song. It sounded to me like a young girl. At first I thought

that perhaps I was actually hearing my young niece who was staying with my in-laws at the time. Sabrina was about four or five at the time, and since the sound seemed to be coming from the other room I made a cursory check of the house.
A long hallway ran past my in-laws' bedroom and into a kitchen nook and then into the galley kitchen. Tip-toeing past my in-laws' opened bedroom door, I could see that Sabrina was fast asleep in their bed, right in
