Comment by Korīne: Hi, Samantha. I love your story about your experience. My family tree started way back in those mountains along with the squally boundary (Cherokee reservation). I've been there all my life and pretty much know it like the back of my hand. They took that land from my grandmother and promised to give it back after the dam was built.
Unfortunately the government lies. They flooded the original ''Fontana town'' and turned it into a national park. What you see today. I'm not calling you a liar, and I'm not saying you didn't see anything, but I just simply don't see a ''navy soldier'' spirit wondering about the tunnel and beyond up the hill. For I am local to this area.
If the spirit was the reading type, then that specific spirit is the type to walk in a ''straight line'' rather than ''turn''. Yes, many men died making the tunnel even horses collapsing from the hard labor and pulling of concrete. I've been in the tunnel at night with my phone 100%. Whatever is there drained it down to 18%. Not only that, you can sometimes here the men ''humming'' or ''singing'' as if they were working. Thank you for your story. Happy hunting!.

I lived in a house on Allen Street that was definitely spooky if not evil and very weird. When we went to do some renovations on the house we found a secret wall in the upstairs storage place that could be removed completely and one could move behind the walls of the upstairs rooms! Another wall in an upstairs closet actually collapsed when my roommate fell against it and he fell down a shaft to the basement! We also pulled up the carpet in the living room and dining room and found pentagrams on the floors! Having discovered all of this we decided to have a Ouija board party one night and shortly after that I fell off of a sidewalk and broke my ankle.

We then had another one and this time I toppled down the stairs and hade to have stitches in my other foot! Finally we had a 3red one at which time we heard strange noises in the house and the couple touching the pancetta were both shocked! The next day I had a car accident with 3 others in the car and I was the only one hurt! A psychic friend told me to get rid of that board and to stop allowing the danger into my life.
I burned the board in the fireplace and when the fire went out a huge puff of wind came out of the fireplace and the ashes of the board were scattered all over the living room! We could also feel footsteps walking on our wrap around porch on different occasions.
We heard a child's laughter in the bathroom and a man's laughter in the living room. Twice that I know of the figure of a woman was seen once in a bedroom and once in the hallway. My bedroom door would only stay closed if you latched it because it wasn't completely level upstairs so each night I latched it from the inside when I went to bed...
