I took a tour at the Small Museum operated by the Chester County Historical Society located inside the old jailhouse. A staff member told us that men's voices are often heard in the building at night.

As a child till we lost the family home. Something was wrong with the house and 40 acres. My sister started seeing a ghost when she was 5. My mom and I saw spirits things moving etc. My dad built the home and other buildings there, but anyone who lives in the house on 32x by pass in Chester doesn't stay long without seeing or hearing something. I think it's a demon but we never found out. It's the house on 32x with the green building in front of it.

The big blue house on York Street is haunted. I know the family that lives there, and they once had a little daughter who drowned. Often in the middle of the night I have found myself awake in my best friend's room. (She lives there. ) Even when her baby brother who is now eight is asleep, I find a small girl, about two years of age, playing on the floor of the room.
I once got up and I said, ''(Deceased child's name) Is that you? I thought you had drowned in 2008. '' The child started wailing and screaming and all hell broke loose. She turned red, and she looked as if she was suffocating. Then she turned purple. I picked up the child. She then faded from purple to blue. Water came out of her nose. She looked at me, lets out a final wail, and faded away. She had died in my arms when she passed, even after performing CPR. I crawled back into the bed with my best friend, and she asked me where I went, and I said '' the bathroom. '' I asked her if she heard a child screaming earlier, but she said ''no.''.
