When he turned back around the lights had been switched off in the bathroom. These were not automatic lights. It was a switch that had to be flipped. That was a little disconcerting given the previous incident a few days earlier. Nothing else happened the rest of the semester, so

I can't say that I think Core is haunted. If it was a ghost and not just paranoia or anything, it could've possibly been someone attached to the land

in general maybe connected to the old plantation and not the Core building itself. .

I live near the dikes and frequently walk my dog there. One Wednesday night at about 10 or 11 p.m. I was walking my dog along the top. It was very dark, and I was the only one in sight. As I approached the wooded trail at the end of Sunset Avenue to access the dikes, I heard what sounded like a woman screaming for help. It sounded very similar to a fox scream and probably was, but I was unaware that we had foxes in this part of the state. I was spooked but kept walking as I figured it was probably an animal. As I broke through the woods and onto the dikes, I started to get a very creepy feeling like I was being watched and followed.
I decided to say aloud ''is anyone here?'' because I was alone, and no one would hear me. In response I heard a very large splash in the lake to my right as if a large stone had been tossed into the lake. I walked a little faster, but my dog hadn't finished with his walk yet, and he didn't seem spooked, so I didn't turn around.
