Comment by Mike: This sounds like a new sighting of the swamp woman, the apparition that has haunted the westbound lanes of US. 378-76 near the Wateree River bridge for decades. I saw this ghost myself on a rainy foggy night in the early 1980s. She had the same eerie gray glow that this driver describes.

I've been trying to find information about this house for a long time but never found any so all I have to go on is the story of a person who lived there. Apparently it is a house with a wrap around porch and my friend told me they used to always feel an evil presence and hear footsteps.

It's been a while but I believe she may have said there was more than one presence. I believe some people in her family even saw something on occasion. She said they moved away as soon as possible. I'd love to find this place.
