I was raised in my great aunt's house which was built in 1908. Two of my three aunts died in the home. The house is on Edgeland Road in Edgemoor. I am forty-seven now, but as a child my parents raised my sister, brother, and myself in this house. From the age of four to sixteen I lived in fear. There was always a feeling of being watched, and I always slept in a small bed beside my parents. One night I awoke and was trying to go back to sleep. I began

feeling weight at the end of the bed, and I could feel the mattress press down. It began to move up toward me like someone was crawling into bed with

me. We had cats, and I thought one had jumped on the bed, so I raised up to make it get down. When I looked there was nothing there, and the presence was gone. I always got up early, and my mother would have breakfast started every morning before I ever got up.
There was one night I slept in the second bedroom, and when I awoke I heard pans being moved in the kitchen. I got up and walked through the house to the kitchen which was on the other
