The day that my mama gave birth to me was very sad. Because that same evening the kkk hanged my uncle rupert. They shaved his head and burned him with cigars and cigarettes before hanging him. Uncle Rupert was only 18 years old when he died.

I have always been able to feel him around me on my birthdays. Mama would never let me tell papa about it because uncle Rupert was his little brother. My papa died 11 years ago and now I do not feel uncle Rupert on my birthday.
