I couldn't resist. While looking at it 'wishes not to be named' saw something slash the light. Then I saw an ominous shadow approaching slowly, it looked mangled so I ran. Instinctively my friends followed me.
When we were safely away I said it looked like a zombie. We ran to ivy's. She locked the doors and we immediently looked up this site. Wish us luck!.

The hooded ghost figures seen in Rock Hill SC are called the 'pepper pot' spooks. We moved away from Rock Hill in 1972 and I had completely forgotten all about the hooded shadow ghosts until I found this web site and began reading some of the stories.
Personally I had never encountered any of the pepper pot spooks but had a couple of buddies who told me they had seen them a couple of times. As for me I don't believe in anything like that until I can see it for myself.
