We live in a grand old home in the historical part of Sumter. Many times I have felt a presence in the room with me. One day we were returning home in the car, and my husband said ''who is that at the side door?'' I looked and saw nothing. He said it was a man with an old fashioned hat on. He said that the man was standing at the door. I was in the kitchen on two occasions when an egg on the counter flew off and landed on the floor making a mess. It

The last thing was a bit embarrassing. I had been vacuuming the floor upstairs, and when I bent over to pick up something

I felt a man's hands grab my backside. It was so real that I laughed and scolded my husband for it. When I turned around there was no one there. My husband was downstairs. I have no problem living with friendly ghosts. It fascinates me and adds a new dimension to life. I'm just thankful the ghosts at our house aren't malevolent.

Comment by SW: I'm adding to my previous post. Recently my husband's ex wife passed away. Several days after her death he felt a gentle touch on his arm, and a few days afterwards he went into the kitchen last at night and came within a few feet of a white human shaped form.
