My great grandparents own a house in Turbieville. I cannot release the address, but I've heard footsteps in the hallway when I'm home alone. A man named Henry who lived in the late 1800s roams the fields at night with an old lantern, and on multiple occasions I've seen dark figures. I've asked my great grandmother about it, and she said there are four spirits that reside in this house.

My uncle said that there was a man in Turbeville in the Civil War, his last name was Diles and he had slaves and he made them hide his gold and money; then he killed them so the would not tell were his gold and money was. Then he was killed in the war, and to this day they say that you can see him in fields trying to find his gold.

In the area between Turbeville and Olanta is an old dirt road and there is an old house. I was there for some time. In that house you will hear weird things lights switch on, you hear steps, you hear scratches on the door, once they even pulled my moms hair. My friend lives close, in his house in his room a baby died. His sister saw a man or shadow coming out the ditch, got sick for a week. Behind her house her uncle lived, there he saw a floating woman. My friend, his sisters, and I are used to it already.
