My brother-in-law has always told stories about seeing a ghost in his childhood home, but I never really believed him. That is until I got to experience it for myself. I was sleeping on an air mattress in the living room rather restlessly when I felt myself and the bed rise. It was as if someone sat down on the corner. I assumed it was my dog jumping up to sleep next to me. I knew his claws would put a hole in the bed, so I kicked my foot out and yelled

get down. My foot suddenly turned very cold. Even in the blanket. Then I heard my dog eating from his bowl in the kitchen. Before I could open my eyes

the bed sunk again as if someone got up. Needless to say, I didn't get much sleep that night.

Across the road from the high school in the woods near where there is a tall radio mast is a wandering spirit of a Native American who was killed there by early settlers. If you go out in those woods and you are behaving peacefully he will sometimes choose to show himself to you.
He showed himself to me once and I felt very honored by it and you should too if it happens to you. It's not scary in any way. He shows no hostility, he just appears out of nowhere and then disappears again.
