When I was in third grade we went on a field trip to the Martha Washington, my friend and I was walking through and the tour guide told us we could go anywhere on the floor. So we went to the ballroom, she told us there would be reenactments in there and my friend said there were people dancing, we turned our heads and they were gone.

A friend and I went to Abingdon to ghost hunt. While sitting at the red light near Ellis' Soda Shop we both saw a black form with wings glide on the wall of the soda shop and disappear. The next day we went to the visitors center and was told it was the spirit of a girl who was murdered in the house across the road centuries ago.

I used to work in Abingdon VA at a nursing home on 3rd shift. I have always Been sensitive to spirits but you do not have to be sensitive to know this place is haunted. It is now grace healthcare on the backstreet from the cemetery in the middle of town.
There was so much activity here that it was unreal. I was there for 3 years but was a believer in less than 6 months. Fire doors that were locked from the inside opened and slammed repeatedly one night when someone said ''well just come on in.'' when one door opened and slammed.
