Anybody know of ''the nook'' on Main Street in Berryville, VA? I lived there for over four years and can tell you for certain it is haunted! The oldest house in Clarke county built, I believe, in the late 1700s. I want to say 1792. There are strange things going on in this house!. Submitted by Judi
Comment by Tara: My grandpa was Lucian Berry. I was told that he owned a plantation there that was haunted. Never visited. If you know about this, let me know papiontara@gmail.com .

I worked as a janitor in the courthouse in the 1980s and there were always things going on in there at night when I was cleaning. I would be the only one in the building and I would hear sounds from other rooms. I would go to check and chairs would be rearranged. I'd arrange them back and when I would come back later it was rearranged again. There was one room in particular that was always rearranged. That room I would always save 'til last so it wouldn't get rearranged by the time I left in the morning. That building was so scary to work in and I can imagine it still is. I feel sorry for whoever cleans there these days.
