Late one night I was driving alone through the area just outside Bluefield known as Wright's Valley. The curvy road there crosses the railroad tracks several times. When approaching one crossing I noticed that the signals beside the track were red--indicating trouble ahead. When I got to the tracks there was nothing unusual, so I just started across. Suddenly I spotted the shadow of a man (or woman) wearing a baseball cap on my left next to the tracks.
I was so startled that I slammed on my brakes and looked around. The figure had disappeared. There was no cover for a person to hide behind or duck under.
I was shaken, but I continued my drive. About five minutes later my courage had overtaken my fear, so I decided to turn around and drive across the same tracks again. There was nothing there. The signals had changed back to green. Submitted by Anonymous

There is a gateway opened by eldritch rituals near Tazewell, VA. I lived in the area known as 'The Divides' which is between Springville and Tazewell. It is called 'The Divides' because it is the watershed that divides the East River from the Clinch River, but that makes it an ideal location for paranormal activity.
