I recently came across the story of Cape Charles baseball field. I thought I would share my experience with the very same baseball field.
I was twelve years old when my family moved to Cape Charles back in the 60s. My father got a job for the railroad company. My family didn't have much growing up, but my dad worked hard and made sure we had a roof over our head and food on the table. Me and my brother Billy would go to the train yard and watch

the barges come in to the harbor and unload the vehicles on to the railroad tracks. The other workers at the yard became family to us, and they would

tell us stories of the old days and how things used to be.
Our favorite stories always came from Mr. Samuel the rail road mechanic. Mr. Samuel had worked for the railroad for over 50 years when we came to Cape Charles. He would tell us about the haunted places in the area. We never believed him but still loved hearing them. One evening he told us a story about the old Cape Charles baseball field. He told us there was a tragedy that happened years
