I just moved to Courtland VA. A strange town. Me and my husband bought this old home on railroad tracks and found out our yard is an old cemetery. I see black shadow figures and just heard train, which stopped running through two years ago. Weird.

Comment by Joe: It sounds to me like you're in the north side of the town of Courtland. Just a couple of blocks north of Rt 35 is where Nat Turner was hanged, and less than a block from there a few feet from the RR tracks is where it is believed he was buried. Go talk to the clerk of the court, Rick Francis. He's extremely knowledgeable in the subject.
