My friends lived in a house on High Street. They said it was haunted, and they felt that the energy was demonic. You could have walked out of that house and see the intersection you're speaking of.

On the corner of Thompson and high there have been multiple sightings of a spirit or demon of some sort that shows up at seemingly random times. It shows up in the middle of the intersection as a cloudy apparition that is definitely human looking.
