I stayed many times at this home as it was my paternal grandparents' home. My father grew up here and never mentioned anything about spirits or evil entities residing here. I do remember my grandfather closing the upstairs off most of the times we visited. I assumed it was to save energy heating the house. Since childhood I have heard the stories of Westport and have visited a couple of times, the last time shooting some photographs.
