I have lived in Elk Creek for about 8 years now. I have never seen anything out of the ordinary. It is a very rural place. There is nothing around here. So, I would think that anyone that was out in this wooded area would start thinking some ''children of the corn'' type thoughts.
The only thing I have seen walking around in the middle of night is my eccentric neighbor who like to stroll around the mountain side in the dark.
