Not too far from Evington about 4 miles as the crow flies my neighbor lived on a farm in the late 1980s. She and her whole family would see a ''ghost'' from time to time who appeared to be a Union soldier from the Civil War dressed in uniform usually near a fence on the west side of the house.
The neighbor had relatives in Ohio and once when they were leaving in their minivan to visit up north they just asked the ''ghost'' if he would like to go

with them. Apparently he did as he was never seen on the farm again after that.
