I lived at Ft. Lee in the 70s on Jackson Circle. It was built next to Petersburg Battlefield Park. There were so many instances of paranormal activity; it became normal -- doors opened, voices, screams, and mists. I have also seen glowing lights illuminating objects with no power source. My family lived in three different houses. Strange things happened in two that I witnessed, as did non-family members.
In the third house things happened, but
|
I got them second hand. My younger sister saw a woman floating, and she had no legs. She ran from the house, and my mother found out what was the reason
|
why. She was five years old and hadn't lived in the new house that long. The incidents occurred between 1972 and 1975.
The base has no fence separating it from the park. We would sometimes walk to a museum. It was a site where the battle had taken place. Only the bodies were gone. Our homes on base housing were in all likelihood built on the graves of dead soldiers. Some people did see Confederate soldiers. Others just saw people in older style clothing.
